Commonly used on the outside of garments, for the waistband of trousers or for the outside seam of the sleeves of jackets or jackets.
Leather is a natural and living article, so when it is wetted and ironed it may shrink. In addition, the dyes used in the tanning process can migrate and stain the fabric on which it is sewn. It should be noted that leather labels that are sewn onto washable garments, even if treated for dyeing or worn by aggressive factory methods, must withstand the non-normal actions of shrinkage, material degradation and fastness and engraving. For these reasons we have a wide variety of leathers so that all the washing tests can be carried out before you decide on one.
To mark leather labels we use heat engraving, screen printing, laser, embossing or combinations of all of them. If the leather has been vegetable tanned, it can be engraved with a metal cliché at high temperatures, as the contact of the leather or nubuck (the plush part of the leather) with the heat changes its colour (burnt brown), chrome tanned leathers are engraved but do not change colour, so we also use screen printing inks. Once the label has been marked, we can add as many decorations or accessories as you wish: embroidery, crystals or metal plates to achieve the most striking effects.
